Mrs. Mary Jane Simkins Armstrong, 79, of 2109 Lincoln Lane, died Friday at 8 PM at the home of her son, LeRoy Armstrong, 739 Simpson Avenue, of ailments incident to age.

Born in Cedar City November 3, 1856, the daughter of James and Mary Walker Simkins, she came to Salt Lake City in 1894, where she had since resided. Her husband, the late John G. Armstrong, succumbed five months ago.

Surviving are the following sons and daughters: John William and Arthur LeRoy Simkins, Salt Lake City; James Vernon Simkins, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Narcia A. Jolley, Provo; and Mrs. Vera May Lawrence, Salt Lake City. Twenty-three grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Deseret Mortuary, 36 East Seventh South Street, Tuesday at 3 PM, with Bishop Thomas H. Gunerson of the Winder ward LDS church officiating. Burial will be in Wasatch Lawn cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary until funeral time.
