Cedar City Man Dies in Salt Lake


     Salt Lake City, Oct. 11 (U.P.)--One of southern Utah's leading business,
civic, and church workers--63-year-old E. M Corry--died late yesterday 
[Oct. 10, 1947] in a Salt Lake City hospital.

     Corry succumbed to a heart ailment.  He had been in the hospital a week
since coming north to attend the semi-annual conference of the Latter-day
Saints church, which he served as high councilman of the Parowan stake.

     Corry was mayor of Cedar City 25 years ago.  He was a director of the bank
of Southern Utah and the Utah Celery Cooperative association.  He was a
native of Cedar City, the son of William Henry and Elizabeth Parry Corry.
