DUP Obituary Scrapbook (1933-1939)


COALVILLE -- Funeral services for Mrs. Anna C. M. Bruun Evans, 93, a 
Utah pioneer of 1854, who died at her home here Tuesday of causes 
incident to age, will be conducted in the Summit L. D. S. stake 
tabernacle Saturday at 2 p. m., under the direction of Bishop 
Charles L. Frost. Burial will be in the Coalville City cemetery.
  
    The speakers at the services will be Judge W. H. Folland of the 
state supreme court; Nephi L. Morris and George Beard. The musical 
program will consist of selections by Virginia Freeze Barker, vocalist; 
Mary Fisher Browning, violinist, and the stake choir.
  
    Mrs. Evans was born in Frederickstad, Norway, February 19, 1842, 
a daughter of Erasmus Christian and Fredericka Micholsen Bruun. 
She crossed the plains in a hand cart company of 1854 and settled 
in Lehi, where she lived for 12 years. She then moved to Coalville 
with her husband, Henry Beck Evans, where she has since resided.
