Marcus Lafayette Guymon, 16 Jan 1862 - 29 Jul 1932

PAROWAN, Aug. 1.--Funeral services were held Sunday at 4 p.m. in the East 
ward chapel for Marcus Lafayette Guymon, 70, who died at the family home 
July 29, following an illness of seven months.

    Mr. Guymon was born in Parowan Jan. 16, 1862.  He was the son of Lafayette 
and Christena Mortensen Guymon.  He married Zilpha Ann Lowder Nov. 22, 1884. 
He has been a life-long resident of Parowan.

    Surviving are his aged father Lafayette Guymon of Provo and the following 
children:  Marcus L. Guymon Jr., of Parowan; Eleanor G. Bruhn of Pan-guitch, 
Brose Guymon of Artesia, California; Jesse Guymon of Parowan; Wayne Guymon 
of Santa Paula, Calif.; Ross Guymon, Parowan, Ut. There are 21 grandchildren 
and the following brothers and sisters: James and Enoch Guymon of Mancos, 
Colorado and Alice Wilden of Mancos; Mrs. Lucy Bloom-field, Shiprock, N. M.; 
Grace Boyer, Provo; Clara Boyer, Provo; Chancey and Lafayette Guymon, Provo.
