Mr. Guymon was born in Parowan, Utah, September 4 1858, a son of
Mr. and Mrs. James Guymon. His father served many years as a missionary
among the Indians near Parowan and other southern Utah communities.
In 1864 the family moved to Fountain Green, and, as a young man,
Mr. Guymon was called to help colonize western Colorado. He returned
to Fountain Green in 1924 to make his permanent home. His wife,
Mrs. Catharine Marie Jensen Guymon, died in 1930.
Surviving are three sons and four daughters, Earl Guymon and
Mrs. Lavina Hansen, Fountain Green; Mrs. Agnes Lake, Roberts, Idaho;
Mrs. Ida Erickson, St. Anthony, Idaho; Eugene Guymon, Salt Lake City;
Bert Guymon and Mrs. Mattie Richardson, Idaho Falls, Idaho; two brothers.
James E. T. Guymon, Provo; Robert Guymon, Lajara. Colo., and three
sisters, Mrs. Polly Shocroft and Mrs. Nettie Schneider, Richfield, Colo.,
and Mrs. Filanda Allred, Fountain Green.
The body is in the Ursenbach funeral home pending funeral arrangements.
