Catherine Gower Urie, 27 Nov 1863 - 20 Nov 1934

CEDAR CITY--Mrs. Catherine Gower Urie, 70, died at her home here late Monday 
after an illness of several months of pernicious anemia.  She was the mother 
of M. J. Urie, president of Cedar City chamber of commerce, and had resided 
here all her life. She was active in the Relief society for many years.

    She was born here November 27, 1863, and on April 25, 1883, was married to 
Thomas Urie, who died several years ago.  Four sons and two daughters 
survive:  Thomas Roy, J. Milton. Earl G., M. J. and Mary Urie, Cedar City, 
and Mrs. Martha Braith-waite, Honolulu.

    Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday in L. D. S. Third ward 
chapel, with  burial in Cedar City cemetery.
