PAROWAN--Funeral services were conducted here Wednesday afternoon for 
William G. Ward, 69, who died at the family residence Monday evening after a 
few days' illness, caused by cerebral hemorrhage.

    Mr. Ward was born at Parowan November 3, 1866, son of Edward and Ann 
Leather Ward.  He was married to Emily Ann Whitney of Parowan, July 16, 1891.

    Surviving are his widow; 11 children, Silas Ward, Venice, Cal.; Edward W. 
Ward, Ariand; Keith Ward, Parowan; Frank Ward, Billings, Mont.; Lewis M. 
Ward, U. S. navy; Mrs. Genevieve W. Lowe, Alberta W. Evans, Artel W. 
Rasmussen, Parowan; Thelma W. Gibson, Standardville; Nelda W. Armstrong, 
Mayfield, Kan.; 24 grandchidlren; three great-grandchildren; one brother,
Silas Jesse Ward, Parowan; one half-brother, John Melvin Ward, Parowan; 
four half-sisters, Annie W. Roberts, Phoenix, Ariz.; Luella W. Lyman, 
LaGrande, Ore.; Claude W. Smith, Cowley, Wyo., and Isabel W. Mortenson, Parowan.

    Interment was in the Parowan city cemetery.
