Some of the Uintah County books and web resources that are available are listed below, although certainly not all. If you own any Uintah County books (not copyright protected or have permission of author to share info) and will do look-ups, please contact the County Coordinator to add your name to the lookup list. As you can see, volunteers are needed.

To request a look-up from the following books. Please put Uintah County Lookup in the subject line of your request to insure the message is not overlooked or accidently deleted. In the first line of the message please put the name of the book you are requesting the lookup in.

USGenWeb policy prohibits lookup volunteers from infringing on copyrighted publications, so please do not ask for Xerox copies of pages from the books unless noted (with the exception of the book, Builders of Uintah).

Builders of Uintah:
A Centennial History of Uintah County 1872-1947 compiled by the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers of Uintah County (1947). Includes biographies and some photos of the early settlers of the Ashley Valley and the surrounding areas. There is a general history of each town in Uintah County. Copies allowed!
