BOWYER, WOODS -
I'm looking for Albemarle County records, newspaper articles, etc. of 1740-1760 that might solve a Woods family mystery: Who really were the parents of Martha, Magdalena, Richard, and Samuel WOODS of the Lexington, Rockbridge Co., area. A reputable historian claims that despite the omission of their names in Michael WOODS, Sr.'s 1761 Albemarle Co., will they were his children and that a prior settlement was made upon them after the death of Michael's wife, Mary at the hands of Indians in 1742. He claimed that Michael had extensive lands, and a home additional to Mountain Plains (now Blair Park) that were in what ultimately became 3 counties. Besides a prior settlement record/quit claim other possible items that might resolve this question would be an area newspaper obituary for Richard WOODS dated 1777, or Magdalena Woods McDowell Borden BOWYER dated sometime between 1795 and 1804. It is possible that these four (and more children) are instead children of a John or Samuel WOODS that was a brother of Michael WOODS, Sr. of Albemarle Co. (1681-1761). Any primary source help, please?

BERRY -
I am searching for information on my 4th gr-grandfather George BERRY, born 1751 or 1752 in Albemarle County -- trying to confirm who his father was. There is confusion as to whether his father's name was Bradley BERRY or Enoch BERRY. He is listed on both family group sheets showing that he is a child of both Bradley and Enoch. Do not know which line to follow -- need to confirm information of the birth of George showing who his parents were. Bradley Berry was born in Albemarle County. Enoch BERRY was born in King George County. It would make more sense to me if he were the son of Bradley. Trying to find someone out there who could confirm which parents George was born to.

BROWN, HIGHT -
I am searching for possible roots into Albemarle Co., Va for two different family groups. Hezekiah BROWN was reported to have come from this area in 1770's and moved down the Valley into Tn, and eventually settled in Cumberland Co, KY (now Clinton CO., KY). Any information on him? Also John HIGHT moved into this area and his youngest son, Samuel HIGHT, was born here in 1767. They settled in the lower co. area that eventually became Nelson Co, Va. Any information? Thank you!

WHITE -
I am searching for records pertaining to my g-g-grandfather, John William A. WHITE. He was born in Albemarle Co. 14 Nov 1845 and served in Company F, 10th Virginia Cavalry. He moved to Texas after the war and we have records at that end. Trying to find information at Virginia end.
