Researching WICKLIFF/ WICKLIFFE family. John or Thomas Wickliff Rev. War Time Period. Son John Wickliff m. 1800 Mary TAYLOR in that part of Bath Co, taken from Botetourt Co. Descendants went to Wash. Co. Va., Grainger Co. Tn., then Shelby Co. Indiana. Has anyone found the Marvel link as future generations, use Marvel as a first name? Has anyone located info on the John Wickliff and Thomas Wickliffe of 1770's?

I'm looking for the parents and family of James POGUE/ POAGE who married Charlotte SHANK in Botetourt County on March 19, 1839. James and Charlotte moved to Putnam County, (W)VA by the late 1840s. James died before 1880. Charlotte died March 2, 1892. Charlotte was the daughter of Adam and Nancy Agnes (SMILEY) SHANK and was born 22 Apr. 1818.

I am looking for information on the ROWE family of Culpeper Co., VA. James ROWE b. apprx. 1755, went from Culpeper to NC to fight in the Rev. War. James ROWE appears on the Botetourt Co., VA 1790 census, Later on the Giles Co., VA 1810 census, son Thomas married Thodosia PLIMEL/ PLYMALE in 1809 in Botetourt Co. Thomas had a brother names Joseph ROWE. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated, I am willing to share. Thanks for any help.

Can anyone help me with the following families of Russell County Virginia? (Marriage proofs, lineage, etc.) William WEBB was born in England about 1740 and was educated at Oxford. He came to America and married Mary ONEY. -(PARENTS???). Elijah WEBB, a son of William and Mary (ONEY) WEBB, was born in Russell County VA December 15, 1771 and died there June 10, 1827. He married Elizabeth FRANCISCO. Elizabeth, a daughter of Ludowick and Elizabeth (COLLEY) FRANCISCO, was born in Botetourt County VA November 29, 1779 and died in Roane County VA (WV) in 1860. The family lived in Russell County VA. Known children of Elijah and Elizabeth (FRANCISCO) WEBB: (1). Milton, b.1808 d. 1862 m. Mary Elizabeth BAYS; (2). Joseph; (3). Samuel; (4). John W. b.May 19 1816 m. Margaret FERGUSON Dec 30 1841 (possible dau. of David Ferguson & Nancy PETITT) I would love to know more about Ludowick and Elizabeth (COLLEY) FRANCISCO!!

I am looking for information on the parents of Robert SNEAD b. April 20, 1801 in Rockbridge County, Virginia. He immigrated to Sweetwater, Monroe County, Tennessee in 1824 and married Frances HENLEY. A search in Rockbridge County has yielded no information. It's been suggested that I check for a connection with the many SNEADs in Botetourt County, since that was a parent county of Rockbridge. Can you help?

I am attempting to locate the roots/origins of a William J. HENRY. He is related to my father in-law, on behalf of whom, I am making this inquiry. William J HENRY was born in Berkeley County, VA on 9/1/1748. He enlisted in the Revolutionary War in 1775 from Botetourt County. He married Elizabeth B. on 2/15/1780 of Botetourt County, who was born 11/11/1765 in Botetourt County. We are attempting to trace the family back from William J. HENRY. We have the lineage from his time to the present, but are missing the facts dating from earlier periods. Thanks,
