Gene Edmond Deisher, 78, of Eagle Rock, died Monday, February 26, 2007. Mr. Deisher was a retired farmer and a member of the King Memorial Community Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin Price Deisher, Sr. and Mattie Saville Deisher; and four brothers, Frank, Jr., Gordon, Victor, and Archie Deisher. Survivors include his brother, Carroll Deisher of Eagle Rock; sister, Adelaine Stephenson of Roanoke; sister-in-law, Hazel Z. Deisher of Eagle Rock; three nieces, and two nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Saturday, March 3, 2007 in the Eagle Rock Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. David J. Cox and the Rev. Wayne Sellers officiating. Interment will follow in Longdale Baptist Church Cemetery . The family will receive friends Friday, March 2, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, 14777 Church Street, Eagle Rock, 884-2276.
