This Indenture made this 2nd Day of June 1791 BETWEEN Isaac Mosely & Selah his wife of the County of Brunswick of the one part and John Hicks Bass of the said County of the other part . . . for and in consideration of the sum of twenty pounds . . . doth for themselves . . . grant bargain sell alien & release and confirm unto the said John Hicks Bass . . . a certain tract or parcel of land containing seven acres by estimation . . . lying and being in the County of Brunswick and bounded as follows (Vt.) BEGINNING at Hick's corner tree thence along Grief Harwell land to a turkey oak thence along Isaac Mosely line to a red oak thence along said Moseleys line to a red oak on Hickes line thence along said Hicks's line to the BEGINNING . . . Signed by Isaac Moseley and Selah Moseley (her mark) and witnessed by John White, Burwell Mosely and Jordan Moseley. Brunswick County Court June 27th 1791. This Indenture of Bargain and Sale was acknowledged by Isaac Mosely party thereto to be his act & deed & ordered to be recorded.
