Indenture made the 19th day of October, 1745, between Daniel Hicks, son and devisee of John Hicks, late of the County of Surry, dec'd. and Francis Stainback, for 15 pounds, conveying his one half interest in 400 acres tract on Steven's Branch and devised by the Last Will and Testament of the said John Hicks, to his two sons, John Hicks and Daniel Hicks, equally. Witnesses were Sterling Clack, Wm. Parker and James Carter. Acknowledged in Court on February 6, 1745.
