Court for April 3, 1740. George Hix is appointed guardian to Thomas Hix, Mary Hix, Daniel Hix and Benjamin Hix, Orphants of Daniel Hix, dec'd. George Hix together with John Chapman came into Court and presented and acknowledged a bond of Six hundred pounds Cort. Money for the well and truly paying to Thomas Hix, Mary Hix, Daniel Hix, & Benjamin Hix Orphants of Daniel Hix Decd. all Such Estates or Estates as now is or hereafter shall appear to be due to the said Orphants which is ordered to be recorded.
On the attachment Obtained by John Wall gent against the Estate of Edith Hix for Sevan pounds 14 sh and 3 pence half penny Curt. money due by the ballance of an Account the said Attachment being returned Executed on all the Corns and Tobacco and all other whatsoever of the Estate of the said Edith Hix the said Wall thereupon came into Court and proved the aforesaid ballance of Accounts to be Justly due to him from the said Edith Hix Judgment is therefor granted him for the Same. . . said Hix is ordered to pay together with his costs by him about his Suit in this behalf. Expended Als Exa and its further ordered that the aforesaid Goods Attached be sold according to Law.
