PRICE, HURT - William HURT PRICE was born in Caroline County,VA on 31 March 1788. His middle name would indicate that his mother possibly was a HURT. About 1767, the family moved to Brunswick County. By age 19, William was in Warren County, NC, and in 1703 when he married Mary Price, no relation as far as we know, he owned land in Green County, KY. Can anybody help? BURNETT, HUNTER, AMOS, PATSEL - BURNETT, AMOS, HUNTER, PATSEL I'm looking for relatives of Austin B. and Frances Burnett, Bedford Co, VA, who had a daughter, Lelia (or Lillian). She (Age 16) married Peter Hunter (26 yrs), Nov 11, 1896. Peter's mother was Bettie. Later, Lillian married J.C.Amos. J.C. Amos and Lillian adopted a son Roy Lee Patsel (born: Apr 3, 1928) in Roanoke, VA. His name was changed to Benjamin Francis Amos, my father. Benjamin's biological mother tried to get him back when his father came back from the war. The Amos' ran with him from town to town. Lillian settled in Augusta, GA. J.C. RIVES, REVIS, REAVIS - Hi, | was born and raised in Brunswick Co. Went to St Paul's High School and graduated in 1949. My Great-great-grandfather, Richard Rives, a slave, according to oral family history, came to Brunswick County in the early 1800s from Henderson, NC. He had three children: Stephen DOB abt. 1830, Henry, my great-grandfather, DOB abt 1835 and Margaret (Martha) DoB abt 1840, all born in Brunswick Co. according to the 1870 census. I know nothing about Richard and little about his childres prior to 1870.
