ANDERSON - ANDERSON, Sarah G m. Henry F BEAUMONT . I am trying to find the parents and siblings of Sarah G.? ANDERSON BEAUMONT who was born in Cumberland County VA and died in TN. . Here is one of her obituaries. You may recognise something in this obituary: Obituary by R.K. Brown (a Methodist preacher in the Tennessee Conference) in the Nashville Christian Advocate, Saturday, June 24, 1876, p. 12: Mrs. Sarah G. Beaumont, wife of the late Rev. H. F. Beaumont, was born in Cumberland co., Va., June 7, 1802, married July 15, 1819, and a few years afterward was converted, and with her husband joined the Methodist Church in Lynchburg, Va., under the ministry of Dr. Wm. A. Smith. About the year 1828 or 1830 they came to Tennessee, and settled in Clarksville. From that time to this their names and lives have formed an important part of our local Church history. For nearly fifty years this good woman went in and out with God's people here. Before the writer was born, his father, then in charge of this work, found in her house a hospitable home. A whole generation of preachers, and their children after them, saw the steadfastness of her faith, and realized the warmth of her attachment to them as messengers of Christ. With all this she was not what men call a demonstrative Christian. Her piety was firm and steady, but it was more in deed than in word -- more in principle than in profession. She was consistent at home, constant and devout at the house of God. The poor and friendless had her sympathy and aid; her husband had her love and efficient help. She was the grand old center around which her children (all grown) and her grandchildren clustered, with their hopes and their loves, till the day of her death. Her presence, and prayers, and counsels, seemed a necessity to them. The late revival in the Church in Clarksville was to her an earnest of celestial joy soon to be realized. [She died in Clarksville on the 14th of May, 1876, in the 74th year of her age.

STONE, JOHNSON, FAUNTLEROY, DEARING - William Stone and wife Lucinda moved to Campbell county before 1860. The Stones of Campbell county were close to the Dearings and Fauntleroys. Thomas Stone married Sallie Elizabeth Johnson in 1871 and they named their firstborn Dearing Fauntleroy Stone. Death Residence localities 24151 Franklin Heights, Franklin, VA Rocky Mount, Franklin, VA. This information was found in the SSDI this summer. She is my husband's aunt. This summer we were elated to find information about a Francis STETSON in the 1920 Census in Campbell County. She was in the Presbyterian Orphan's Home and was 11 years old. We were sure this was the correct one. Then sadly, we checked the SSDI and found her again. We do not know if she ever married or not for we had no contact with her. IRBY - Help, I am trying to find information on William Ratcliff Irby. He was born in 1860 in Lynchburg, VA. When he was young he moved with his parents to New Orleans, LA. Parents died 1878 from yellow fever. Apparently he was a New Orleans Philanthropist who did alot for the preservation of the French Quarter and other areas. There are the lower Pontalba buildings that he donated to the LA state Museum when he died. He committed suicide 11/20/1926. His wife had already moved the family back north. I saw his will in the Danville,VA courthouse. It also listed a nephew James Irby living in Baltimore. He was left a residence on Grove street in Danville. i would love to hear from anyone who knows anything about this family. I want to know who his parents were etc. Thanks
