WOOLWINE: Seeking information on family of Mary Eakin WOOLWINE. b:7-1885. d:aft.1954. Married; 1st Carter Osterbind in 1906 (d:1915) 2nd Dr Charles R. Woolwine Jr. in 1917 (d:1954) After his death, Mary's last known residence was Prince Edward St. Fredericksburg. She was a member of the D.A.R.. under William Hawkins 1765 - 1854 and in possession of Hawkins 1854 Obituary, possibly the only one left in existance.

Looking for anyone with information on William HOLMES, my gggrandfather who was born in Fredericksburg, VA and was freed from slavery on April 19, 1861. He served in the Civil War in 1864-65 having joined the 55th Mass. Colored Cavalry, was wounded in Gettysburg, hospitalized in City Point, VA during that time. After hospitalization, he returned with his troops to Brazos Santiago, TX(?). He married Martha (Mattie) Poyner (Johnson?) in 1869 in Petersburg, TN and had 3 sons by her, Robert, William and Kemp. They moved to Franklin, Williamson County, TN.

My greatgrandfather was born in Fredericksburg VA in 1833. His name was Horace Bingham LEITCH. For along time now I have searched trying to find out the name of his parents unsucessfully. The 1850 census on microfilm I got from the LDS was almost unreadable when it got to Fredericksburg and the area east of the city. please help if you can.

STUART / PARE / DAVENPORT - researching the family of Mary Ann PARE and Jane PARE, sisters who married Dr. William M. STUART and Benjamin DAVENPORT, respectively, in the 1830's. The sisters and their spouses later migrated to western Alabama and later to eastern Mississippi. Jane Pare Davenport's daughter was said to have been born in Fredericksburg, VA. Any information would be appreciated.

I'm looking for information on the ancestors and children of Uriah Hugh BRADSHAW of Fredericksburg, Va. Uriah had a cooper shop on Caroline Street in the town of Fredericksburg for many years, and he died there. His father, Harberson BRADSHAW, lived in Stafford Co. and had 16 children. 15 of them lived to be adults.
I am researching the SULLIVANs of Fredericksburg, VA. My grandfather Herman Lee SULLIVAN b. 17 Oct 1896 in Albemarle Co., VA., d. 29 Oct 1979 in Fredericksburg, VA. married Emma Jean HARDY b. 30 Sep 1897 in Fredericksburg, VA., d. 27 May 1990 in Fredericksburg, VA. Both are buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg, VA. They were married in Fredericksburg, VA. on 30 May 1916. I am looking for additional information on my great-grandfather, Stonewall Jackson SULLIVAN (S. Jackson SULLIVAN) b. 22 Nov 1861 in Stafford, VA., d. 20 Dec 1940. He married Susan Frances DOWELL in Albemarle Co., VA. on 15 Dec 1890. She was b. 27 Jul 1873 in Albemarle Co., VA., and d. 21 Dec 1965 in Fredericksburg, VA. Both are buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg, VA. I am told he work at Brompton in Fredericksburg off of Sunken Road, he was kicked in the head by a horse and never got better, was bed ridden for several years before his death. I need information about his parents. I am told that their names were E. SULLIVAN and Louisa SULLIVAN. I've had no luck finding any leads on either name, so these names may not be correct. If anyone has any information about his parents, I would appreciate anything at all. They may have lived in Stafford, I don't know if they moved to Albemarle Co., with their son, or if they moved back to Fredericksburg in 1910 when their son did....Thanks.
