HUBBARD, LADD, COTMAN - Searching for any information on George HUBBARD b.1771 m Pricilla LADD b. 1772, or his son Robert C. HUBBARD b. 1801. They lived along Barnett's Road near Edna's Mill. While I do have info on my relatives, I am looking for any information on the county history of the time. Also would like actual documents on marriages etc. to verify my data. Especially interested in how HUBBARDs came to Virginia during the early 1700's.

MILES, BROWN - My Miles relatives began in Charles City Co. VA where John Miles left land to 3 grandchildren in his will dated 1748. Later generations moved gradually to Franklin Co. VA prior to my direct relative leaving there in 1829 with a young family, spending 10 years in Pulaski Co., KY before going on to Macon Co. MO in 1839. Several known relatives stayed behind and several generations of these relatives have also been discovered living in the Roanoke area today. Ben Weisigers books have been invaluable. Ernest N. Miles

HUNT, ALLEN - Seeking info on William Hunt, supposedly immigrated to Charles City Co. from France in late 1600s, however Hunt is not a French name. He was a "Dr. of physick". He died in Surry Co. and supposedly left a will dated 1 May 1714 (which I don't have). Wife was Tabitha (last name unkn). They had 3 children: George, John, Mary (b 15 May 1695) Also seeking info on dau Mary. She married 1st Robert Minge, 2nd William Allen, and 3rd Fielding Jefferson (uncle of Thomas Jefferson). I am descended from the 2nd marriage - to William Allen. Mary and William Allen had a son - Valentine, who married a Nancy Ann Arnold. Any info would be appreciated.

TAYLOR - Looking for info on Charles W. Taylor who attended Emory & Henry College in Wash CO. VA 1859 to Spring 1861. Guardian was William H. Taylor. Address given at college was Wilcox's Wharf. Researcher at E&H said guess was that Wilcox Wharf is/was Charles City Co. In catalogue and historical register also lists his address/home as Charles City County. Other names in family are Francis and Mary Taylor, John Edward Taylor and Ann Victoria Shumann Taylor. John Edward joined Richmond Blues, a VA malitia, Richmond VA in 1860. Is there a place called Wilcox Wharf?

BORING - I am searching for a JOHN H. BORING bn in Va. circia 1820. I see in Charles City County 1859 census that there is a John H. Boring age 18 living with I assume his mother (or Grandmother, looking at her age) I am hoping that this is my JOHN. My JOHN came to Bledsoe Co.
