Commonwealth Chapter NSDAR

Richmond, VA

Promoting historic preservation, education, and patriotism...

YESTERDAY

Commonwealth Chapter, NSDAR, was organized on February 6, 1902. It is the second oldest chapter in Richmond. Over the years, the chapter has been deeply involved in community concerns. Commonwealth Chapter provided aid for immigrants arriving at Ellis Island, raised funds for liberty bonds, and helped establish the first Red Cross unit in Richmond. The chapter has installed many historical markers to commemorate soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice.

TODAY

Commonwealth Chapter is a large, active chapter of dedicated women preserving our love of country, promoting patriotism, and honoring our history by educating those who follow us. Our members include homemakers, professional women, and members of the Armed Forces.

TOMORROW

Commonwealth Chapter will continue to actively support community and state issues, historic preservation, patriotism, and citizenship. Membership is open to women 18 years or older who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution. If you are interested in membership, please contact us for more information: Commonwealth Chapter . We look forward to hearing from you.
