Ruth Eva Camper, 88, of Roanoke, departed peacefully on Thursday, July 17,
2008, in Smithfield, Va. after a brief illness. Born July 26, 1919 to the late
Harve M. and Mary Bower Blankenship in Princeton, W.Va., Eva leaves two sons, Donnie Camper , of Smithfield and Mike Camper, of Newport News; and six grandchildren,
Amy Camper , Angela Bowman,
Andrew Camper, of Smithfield and
Eric, Justin and Nicole Camper ,
of Newport News. Eva was also
blessed with six great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Macy and Charles Camper, of Carrolton and Kaitlyn,
Kristen and Matthew Bowman, of Smithfield. She is also survived by her loving
sister, Ruby Dudley, of Roanoke and her three children, Delores Neighbors,
Curtis Dudley and Connie Vaughn. Eva
was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Charles E. Camper, in 1989. Three brothers,
Charlie, Andrew and Paul and two sisters, Thelma and Ellen, also went before
her. The family wishes to thank the caring staff of Smithfield's Riverside
Convalescent Center for comforts they provided to "Miss Eva ". Expressions of sympathy
can be made in Mrs. Camper's
name to The Salvation Army Roanoke VA Corps, P.O. Box 12088, Roanoke, VA 24022.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2008, at Oakey's
North Chapel. Salvation Army Captain Richard White will officiate. Interment will
be in the Cross Roads Church Cemetery, Craig County. The family will receive
friends from 1 p.m. until service time on Sunday at Oakey's North Chapel,

of Eagle Rock; a sister-in-law, Irene Drummond of Covington; grandchildren,
Rodney and Elaine Linkenhoker, David and Jane Linthicum, Wayne Lutz and
Sandra Harlow; five great-grandchildren; five step grandchildren, and 10 step
great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 14, 1996,
from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in
the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Rob Hoskins. Burial will be

88, of New Castle, formerly of Oriskany, entered eternity with her Heavenly Father, Tuesday, November 2, 2004
at Lewis-Gale Hospital. She was born in Craig County, Virginia on June 29, 1916
and was the daughter of the late Mack and Maggie Switzer. She was preceded in
death by her husband, A. S.
(Tony) Frango, Sr. She is
survived by her beloved sons and daughters-in-law, Louie and Norma Frango,
A. S. (Tony) and Bonnie Frango, Jr., all of New Castle;
daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Stephen Jarrell of Vinton; 12 grandchildren;
17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and
nieces. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, November 5, 2004 at
Crossroads Church with Jim Morris officiating. Interment will follow in the
Crossroads Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m.
Thursday at Paitsel Funeral Home, New Castle. Today is a day that is sad in our
hearts. The reason is that we are now far apart. But we all know we will see
you again one day. Because our Lord died for us, that's the Price that

Medico Security Locks, Inc., Salem. Edith
was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Hubert (Dough) F. Caldwell; her parents, Cline and Ruth
Adams; and two brothers. Survivors are her daughters, Joyce C. Porter, and Mary
C. Cook; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Porter, and Jennifer Cook, all of Salem.
Her four girls were the joy of her life. She is also survived by three brothers
and spouses, Aubrey and Martha Adams, Harold and Nancy Adams, all of Salem,
Gerald and Esther Adams of Winter haven, Fla.; sister and husband, Shirley and
Bruce Harnsberger of Roanoke; sister-in-law, Hattie Adams of Follansbee, W.Va.;
special friends, Jeanette Young, Tiny Hannah, James Porter, and Tom Cook.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Hoback and LaVeta Phelps. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lee; devoted mother-in-law, Ruth F. Duncan; one devoted daughter, Roberta "Lynn" and husband, James Gregory "Greg" Christian, Sr.; two sons, Steve P. and wife, Carliss and James V. Hoback ; one brother and sister-in-law Jacob D. and Eloise Hoback ; four grandchildren, Danielle N. "Nikki" and James G. included employment at American Viscose Corp. Lab in Roanoke, and later as a
board certified Cytotechnologist working with pathologists at Jefferson
Hospital in Roanoke, Kings' Daughters' Hospital in Staunton, and Lewis-Gale
Hospital in Salem. She also did volunteer duty for the American Red Cross
during WW II. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 17,
