James S McClanahan & Preston Caldwell deed

This deed made this the 11 day of Sept 1875 between
James S McClanahan and Mrs _______ Clanahan
his wife, of the first part and Preston Caldwell and
A[ckedora?] Caldwell his wife of the second part, witnesseth
that for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand
four hundred dollars in hand paid.  The receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged.  The said parties of the first
part do grant with general warranty unto the said
parties of the second part all that tract or parcel of
land situated on the waters of John's Creek in Craig
County being the same land purchased by said McClan-
ahan of William M. Bishop and his children Lucy Ann
Brown and Mary E. Bishop and is bounded as follows.
Beginning at a white oak, two black oaks and two red
oak saplings, division comes between said Martin and
McClanahan, thence with division line, N 32-1/2 W 74-3/4
poles to a single and double white oak, N 7-1/4 W
24 poles to a locust stake, S 88 W 6-1/2 poles xg the
creek to a poplar on the S. W. bank, N 7 E 132/129 poles to
a stake at (i) 1 pole and 9 links, N 73 E from a line
marked thence leaving division line, S 73 W 103 poles to a
red oak and chestnut oak by a gully, N 49 W 12
poles to 3 white oaks (one dead), N 16 W 19 poles to a white
oak, chestnut oak and red oak (red oak down), S 88
W 24 poles to a white oak and pine, S 38-3/4 W 24 poles to
a white oak and pine, N 50 W 36 poles to 3 white oaks by a
branch (one down), S 83 W 11 poles xg a branch to a hickory
and chestnut, where a white and black oak was called for
(down), S 35 E 146/144 poles to 3 white oaks (2 down) on a
line of the old survey and with the same S 13 E 53 poles
to a white oak on the south side of a road comes to
John M. Caldwell's land and with the same N 72-1/2 E
98 poles xg the creek to the Beginning at A
