The above plat is the land that Thomas Martin Sold to John
M. Caldwell,
and is bounded as follows; Beginning at 2 sycamores form one root on N.
W. side of Johns Creek, thence N 74 ½ E 15.8 po. xg creek to a sycamore
on bank of same, S 44 E 29 ½ po. to 2 locusts S 80 E 6.6 po. to 3
saruesberries & a locust on a high bank of creek and down the same, S 49
E 14 ½ po. to a white oak on bank of creek, S 31 ½ E 39 ¼ po. to Middle
of creek opposite to a white oak Marked at the rock logs thence down the
creek as it meanders S 33 E 14 po. S 62 ½ E 22 po. to opposite a
sycamore by fording of creek. S 7 ½ E 6 po. to in creek on Joseph Looney
line North of a double sycamore thence with said Looney’s line S 73 W 61
po. to a pile of stones 14 links south of a white oak marked where 2
black oak & 2 red oak saplings was called for (dead) corner to the land
Samuel Leffel bought of James McClanahan and with said Leffel's lines N
32 ½ W 74 ¾ po. to a single & a double white oaks N 7 ½ W 24 po. to a
locust stake thence S 88 W 6 ½ po. xg cr. to a poplar on bank of same
and down the same 21 po. to the Beginning.
