WILKINS/DAVIS - Seeking info. on Robert W. Wilkins b. abt 1835/36 Accomac Co. and Martha A Davis b. abt 1840/41 Elizabeth City CO. Listed in the 1860 census as being in Back River District (?) as a manager. Birth Cert. for son Robert E. Wilkins b. 21 May 1874 shows them in Elizabeth City Co. Martha's parents were Will and Mary Davis, farmers Eliz. City CO. Also seeking info. on a B.B. Wilkins, who owned "the oldest retail grocery arm in N. N.,Va. called B.B. Wilkins and Brother". This was disolved with his death-sometime prior to 1922. Info was gathered from a obit on Capt. R.E.Wilkins who drowned in the James in 1922. Have slight reason to believe he was affilated with the Eliz. City Co. family. Any help anyone can give on these people will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Merlyn Wilkins Gibson GIBBYJC@aol.com
