KING, HARE - John King, ca. 1670-1734, was the son of Michael KING and Elizabeth HARE King. John moved to Elizabeth City County, VA from Nansemond County,VA. John is recorded as being the sheriff and captain of militia for the Elizabeth City County area. I know he moved to Chowan Precinct, Province of North Carolina, where he acquired land. He had a son William KING, ca. 1705-1788. I lose track of him at this point. I do not know his wife's name, other children's names, or where the family may be buried at. I would appreciate any assistance.

WILSON, IRVIN, HICKS - I am trying to discover information about these related families. They arrived in Surry County, VA in the early 1700s, and I've been finding hints that they may have been from Elizabeth City before that. Details are I have 2 brothers, Nathaniel and Thomas Wilson, traveling with the Capt. Nathaniel and Elizabeth Irvin family. Robert Hicks and Capt. Nathaniel Irvin were partners in a crown-authorized Indian Trading venture, and Robert Hicks married one of the Irvin daughters, as did Thomas Wilson. I believe the Wilson brothers' father may have been a William Wilson, and their mother Elizabeth. Thanks for any help you might be able to supply.
