DAWSON, HACKLEY - Seeking information on Robert DAWSON (and his parents) who owned a plantation on the Rappahannock River in 1837. His wife was a HACKLEY. Her brother owned HACKLEY'S MILL in that area. Their son, John Waldo DAWSON was born 22 May 1837 on his father's plantation. While drinking from a spring, a slave dropped a rock on Robert's head from a bluff above killing him. Robert DAWSON's father is said to be Native American, tribe unknown. Any leads appreciated.

ANDREWS - ANDREWS, William. The 1790 Census of Virginia lists William ANDREWS in Essex County. Do county birth records list his son Green ANDREWS in the 1793 to 1795 period? Family records place William and Green in the State of Virginia, but nothing more specific. The 1790 Census seems to narrow my "look list" of persons named William ANDREWS to only four counties, including Essex. William's spouse may have been Mary. Thanks for any help.

It is unknown if John was born in MS or immigrated from VA. His ancestors were allegedly Eliphalet Roane, John Alexander Roane, William Roane, William Roane, and Charles Roane. MEADOR --- Looking for info. about my direct line from Thomas Meador (1638-1661), to John (1658-1721) of Essex County, to Richard (1678-1716), to William (1706-1759), to Jeremiah,Sr.(1735-1816), to William (1765-1842), to Jeremiah,jr.(1788-1869). PARKS --- Thomas PARKS I was born in Old Rappahanock Co., Which is Now Essex County and Richmond County. His son Samuel is my line. Would like to visit with anyone that is a descendant of Thomas or Samual. Or anyone with info on this family. They also lived in Culpepper and Abermarle Counties in VA.
TILLER --- I'm looking for information on William Tiller Sr. of Richmond Co. and William Tiller Jr. of Essex Co. Both died in 1718. The earliest record I have of William Tiller Sr. is dated Oct.1, 1699. I'm trying to determine if he is the same William Tiller who was included in the headright of Rees Hughes in New Kent Co. 1657. I am also interested in any information about William Tiller Sr.'s son John. I believe he migrated to Westmoreland Co. in the early 1700's, and his descendants later migrated to the Caroline Co area.
