This Indenture made this twenty seventh day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand and seven hundred and Ninety between William Southern of Essex County and Parish of Southfarnham of the one part and William Simco of the County & parish aforesaid of the other part. Witness that the said William Southern for & in consideration of the sum of Eighty Pounds curt money to him in hand paid by the said William Simco the Receipt whereof the said William Southern doth hereby acknowledge that the said William Southern hath granted bargained and sold aliened and Infeassed and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell alien infease and confirm onto the said William Simco his heirs assigns forever a certain Tract or parcel of land containing one hundred and eleven acres more or less lying and being in Essex County & Parish of Southfarnham a joining the lands of John Montague, John Bush, Thomas Minter, Thomas Waring and Robert Ferguson and also all lands, trees, woods, underwoods tithes, Commons of Pasture profits comodities advantages, heriditaments ways waters appurtenances whatsoever belonging or in any way apertaining unto the above mentioned Messuage or Tenement and premises and also the revertion and revertions, Remainder and Remainders, rents and services of the said premises and of every part thereof and the Estate right title interest Claim and demand whatsoever of him the said William Southern his heirs and in and to the said Messauge tenement and every part thereof To have and to hold the said Messuage or Tenement and all and Singular the said premises above mentioned and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances unto the said William Simco his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behofe [behoof] of the said William Simco his heirs and Assigns forever and the said William Southern for him and his heirs the said Messuage or tenement and premises and every part thereof against him and his heirs and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever to said William Simco his heirs and assigns shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In Witness whereof the said William Southern hath hereunto set his hand seale the day and year above written.

At a Court held for Essex County at Tappahannock on the 20th Day of June 1791 This deed indented from WilliamSouthern to William Simco with the receipt thereon endorsed were proved by Thomas Evans and Reuben Simco two of the witnesses thereto and they the said Thomas Evans and Reuben Simco made oath that they saw Hugh Cauthorn and John Sadler, the other two witnesses thereto sign the same as witnesses in the presence of the said Wm. Southern and at his request , which were ordered to be certified.

At a Court held for Essex County of Tappahannock on 18 Day of June 1792 this deed Indented and the Receipt thereon endorsed were further proved by John Sadler another witness thereto and ordered to be recorded.
