
Services For The Public. In addition to the links below, are the Inter-Library Loan guidelines and listings of Pre-1865 and Post 1865 County Court Records available on microfilm through inter-library loan.
Digital Collections. From this page, the On-Line Library Catalog, Archives and Manuscripts (Including Bible Records), Virginia Colonial Records, and Electronic Card Indexes (Military rosters, patents, wills, etc.) can be accessed. A description of the collections is also available.
VA-Notes. Virginia Notes is an on-line series in Virginia documents by Daphne Gentry of the Library of Virginia's Publications and Educational Services Division. The current articles cover such topics as tithables, headrights, poll books, tax lists, and descriptions of standard references such a Swem's Index, Virginia Wills and Administrations, and Chalkey's Chronicles.
Genealogical and Family History Research. In addition to links to Library of Virginia resources, links are also provided to other sites of genealogical interest. Among the other links are surname search resources, name look-up offers, government resources and geographical mapping resources.
The Virginia Newspaper Project. A bibliography of newspapers housed in Virginia repositories.
