Dear Members and Future Members,

The Fauquier Heritage Society Board of Directors have been busy in the last
few months, and is poised for some dramatic changes.  We have completered
the spring membership mailing and are processing  the returns.  The Old
Salem Meeting House is scheduled for completion circa July, 1999, and will
be ready for occupancy.  Moving the library will take time and care,
volunteers are welcome.

Coincident with the physical move, the Fauquier Heritage Society will merge
with the old Salem Preservation Foundation.  The merger, scheduled for July
1, 1999, will maintain the 501(3)c Tax Exempt status currently held by the
Fauquier Heritage Society.  A new name for the resulting organization will
be forthcoming and will be announced.  Services to the Fauquier Heritage
Society membership will remain unchanged.
