The Church met on the third Saturday in January 1823. After prare proceed to business.

The Church met as usual prare being made then proceeded to business. Union and Peace appearing to abound were then dismissed in order. Signed by order of the church.

          The Church met as usual prare being made then proceeded to business.

1st SAMUEL AGNEW and his wife Susannah presented their letters certifying their membership where they came from and was received into full fellowship. Were then dismissed in order. Signed by order from the church.

April the 19th day 1823

          The Church met according to order prare being made. Then convened in order for business.

1st A door opened to receive experience & JOHN QUESINBURY came forward and received as one among us.  Also brother OWEN SUMNER came forward and requested a letter of dismission which is referred for further consideration. JONATHAN SALMONS informed the church respecting some reports prevailing about him and made satisfaction for the same. Then chose Brethern JESSE JONES, NATHANIEL THOMPSON, JONATHAN SALMONS our messengers to the next association and in case of failure Brother P. SLUSHER. Union and peace appearing to abound. Were then dismissed in order. Signed by order of the church.

          The church met as usual after prare proceeded to business. A door opened to receive experience. JOHN REYNOLDS came forward & received among us.  The reference concerning BROTHER SUMNER called over and referred.  Union & peace appearing to abound. Then dismissed in order signed.

June the 21st day 1823

          The church met according to order after prare proceeded to business. 

1st A door opened to receive experience and GEORGE REED received as one among us .

The reference from our last meeting concerning OWEN SUMNERS called over and reconciliation made.  He likewise requested a letter of dismission which was granted him.

 

 

Also same allegations brought forward against Brother GEORGE HELTON and remains a reference.  Signed by order of the church.

          The church met in Burks Fork the first Sunday in June.  A door opened to receive experience and the following members received. Viz CHARLES BOLT SENR. SALLY HELTON, SAMINA BOULTT (or BOULT). Then dismissed in order.

 

 

          Met at the same place the first Saturday in July and sister POLLY BOLT received by letter.  Then dismissed in order. Signed by order of the church.

          The church met as usual prare being made then proceeded to business.

1st The reference from our June meeting concerning GEORGE HELTON called over. BROTHER HELTON not being present it still remains a reference, and Brethren JOHN WADE, JOHN LESTER, & PETER SLUSHER appointed to talk with him and cite him to attend and give satisfaction for the reports that are in circulation about him. A request from Charity Meeting House to this church for help to try and settle matter of difficulty with some of their members and Brethren JOHN LESTER, SAMUEL AGNEW, DANIEL FIELD, ALEXANDER MCALEXANDER were appointed to attend the same.  No other business came forward. Were then dismissed in order. Signed by order of the church.

August the 16th day 1823

The church met as usual prare being made then proceeded to business.  The reference from our last meeting concerning GEORGE HELTON. The brethren appointed to labour with him reported that they had conversed with him and had gained no satisfaction.  He is therefore excluded from among us for refusing to hear the church and other allegations alleged against him.  Appointed our September meeting on Sunday for a communion season and Saturday for a day of Fasting and Prare. Then chose Brethren JESSE JONES, NATHANIEL THOMPSON, JONATHAN SALMONS messengers to our next association. No other business came forward were then dismissed in order. Signed by order of the church.

JAMES KEETHE and WIFE to know the cause of their absence for not attending meetings. Brethren ???, JACOB SLUSHER  to visit Brethren ELIJAH DICKERSON to know the cause of his absence. Union and Peace appearing to abound were then dismissed in order. Signed by order of the church.

          The church met as usual prayer being made then convened in order for business.

1st The reference from our last meeting concerning Brother JAMES KEITH and WIFE

continued.  The reference concerning ELIJAH DICKERSON called over but continued.

Then chose JESSE JONES, NATHANIEL THOMPSON, JONATHAN SALMONS as messengers to the next association. Then dismissed in order. Signed in order.

1st The reference from our last meeting concerning Brother KEETH and WIFE called over but referred, the reference concerning Brother E. DICKERSON referred. No other business came forward. Were then dismissed in order.  Signed by order of the Church.

          The church met as usual and prare being made then proceeded to business.

1st. The door was opened to receive experience and POLLY ROGERS  & CATHERINE WEDDLE came forward and received by experience in order for baptism. The reference concerning Brother JAMES KEETH and WIFE called over but referred.  The reference concerning ELIJAH DICKERSON called over himself being present and not rendering satisfaction to the church he is therefore excluded from among us.  The church agree that they petition the association for a presbytery for the ordination of Brother JONATHAN SALMONS to the ministry if found qualified.  Also we petition the association to know whether it would be expedient to increase the number of our minutes. Then dismissed in order. Signed by order of the church.
