FLEEMAN, HOBSON, KEMP, MILLS -
James H. Mills was born in Franklin County ca 1816, and listed in several documents through the 1840's in Franklin County. Samuel E. Mills was born also in Franklin County, ca 1817, and he, too, is listed in several Franklin County documents through the 1840's. Samuel married in 1841, Franklin County, Mary Ann Hobson. Both were sons of William and Drucilla "Siller" (Kemp) Mills. Since I cannot locate any records on these two brothers after the late 1840s in Franklin County or regional area around the county, I believe they relocated to another location. Possible directions are north and west into OH, IN, IL, MO; south to the Carolinas, GA, AL, or west into WV, KY, TN, or even TX, etc. I also believe one of their younger brothers may have joined them ca 1860-62 who was named Charles T. Mills; he married Sarah M. Fleeman in 1857, Montgomery County, VA. Have any researchers looking for lost VA Mills family connections possibly noted these two or three brothers/wives, etc., in 1850/60/70 census indexes/reports? Seeking any information on these families, marriages, and descendants in subsequent generations.
