BERKSHIRE, CAMPBELL, MCKINNEY, PIERCE, SAUNDERS, WEBB, WILLIS -
I am searching for information regarding Lee or E. E. Willis (born in 1798 in Virginia) and Ann Webb (born 1809 in Virginia) who married 3-5-1827 in Franklin County, Virginia. They had a family including: Thomas E. b. 1829 in VA, William b. 1830 in VA., Mary Ann b. 1831 in MO, Jane b. 1838 in MO, Lee Jr. b. 1840 in MO (married Sarah F. Campbell), Harriet b. 1841 in MO, Matilda b. 1843 in MO (married J. B. Pierce), Charles Cobb (my great grandfather) b. 1846 in MO (married Julia McKinney) 12-19-1871, Joel b. 1848 in MO, Tampo b. 1849, in VA?, Fleming b. 1-10-1850 and died 8-5-1859. When Lee married his guardian F. Saunders signed for him. Ann died 4-2-1852 and Lee married Sally Ann Berkshire. Lee later became so frail and his mind failed so that the younger child or children were left to a guardian. He evidently was always called Lee Willis, but on his gravestone, it says E. E. Willis. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My address is:

Looking for the parents and other family information on Citizen S. Woods. Citizen shows up on the 1820 Franklin County VA Census, page 168. I believe he was born in Franklin County in 1799 (on the 1860 Carroll County TN Census he states his age as 61 and birthplace as VA). Franklin married Jane Hale in Franklin County VA on 15 March 1821. Jane was born in Franklin County VA 1798-1800. Jane is the daughter of Sarah Turnbull (b. abt 1771) and Joseph Hale (b. abt 1770) who were married in Franklin VA 21 July 1797. I would appreciate any information.

PEARSON, PIERSON -
I am looking for parents and/or siblings of James Pearson/ Pierson born 1816. He may have been married to a woman named Frances (?). In 1846 he was residing in Henry County, Indiana. The 1860 Indiana Census has him as born in Virginia. One of my ancestral family lines has a Nancy Pearson born 1809 as being from Franklin County, Virginia. She resided in the same community as James Pearson/Pierson. Since several of my family lines travelled together, I am hoping that James and Nancy were related and that he was from Franklin County, Virginia. I am looking for the parents and family of Joseph Doss or Daws who married Eliza Bryant in Franklin Co March 23, 1854. His wife and children appear in the 1860 census in Franklin Co. He is said to have died in 1867. His widow and children appear in the Montgomery Co census for 1870 prior to their move to the Huntington area of WV. His occupation was miller in 1860 and listed in the SW District. Who were his parents? brothers, sisters? Thank you.

Am looking for my 4GGrandfather, John Frazier, who married Mary ????. I suspect that John and Mary Frazier were probably born in the Franklin Co area, and may have been born around 1750. They "settled" in what was then Russell Co., VA, now Scott Co., in the spring of 1772. They had son Joseph, born in 1771 and son, Solomon, born in Fairfax County, VA in 1773. I would like to find their marriage record, birth records, and who and from where their parents were. I believe they removed to Fairfax County from Moccasin Creek in Scott Co. for only a short while to escape the frequent and tragic Indian raids in what was then Russell Co. I would be happy to hear from anyone also researching the Fraziers in VA, who moved on from there into TN and KY in the late 1700s and 1800s. Most moved to Floyd and Letcher Counties in KY.

Searching for information on Daniel G. Franklin and his wife Julia Ann Arthur. Daniel was born in Bedford. He and his wife may have died in Franklin Co. after 1875 but before 1891. Also Milton Franklin is listed in 1860 census and is possibly related to Daniel Franklin.

I am looking for names of the parents of Owen Price Turner who was born 10 Dec. 1813, Reed Creek, Franklin Co., VA. He later was in Buchanan Co., MO where he married Melissa/Mazela Toney in 1842. Owen and Melissa, with other members of her family, in 1847 traveled to Oregon where they settled in Yamhill County. Owen P. Turner died there 11 May 1895. Information about this Turner family in Virginia will be much appreciated.

My husband's grandfather, James Franklin Phelps, was born in Franklin Co., VA on July 12, 1873. His father's name was Andrew J. Phelps, farmer, and the mother's name was Alezy A. Phelps. We would like to know the mother's maiden name. We have pictures of all of these people if you are interested, along with pictures of all of Andrew J. Phelps' children. Will be happy to share information that we have. We have been told that my husband's family had a Boone in the family also, but we don't know where this is.
