HAYNES, PAUL, YOUNG -
I'm looking for some more information on James G. Haynes. My grandparents were Robert C. Haynes and Florence May Paul. When I contacted Social Security, the one record that I received, shows Robert Haynes (Joe Cephas Haynes) born in Franklin County, VA. on April 11, 1876. His mother was Martha Ellen Young and his father was Bill Haynes.. Someone gave me information that Robert C. Haynes and Florence M. Paul were married in January, 1903, in the city of Radford, VA. They said that Robert was born in Franklin County and he was 24 and a son of R.C. & M.E. Haynes. That Florence was 18 and a daughter of C.B. & J.H. Paul. Could someone tell me if they know if Robert Cyphus Haynes and Joe Cephas Haynes are the same person? He is listed under Robert Haynes on social security records. I know that sometimes people go under different names. If anyone could help with any information on this, I would appreciate it. Thanks,

I am searching for info on the following families, STEGALL, BONDURANT, ATKINS, WINFIELD, and FORREST. Allen S. Stegall, born 1775 in Virginia and died between 1840 and 1850. They had the following children: Thomas Washington, Sarah Frances, Mary J., Hettie Newell, John Henry, and Bonner Forrest. John Henry married Mary Alice Atkins ( we think that is her last name. She may have gone by Alice. Her mother's maiden name may have been Dolly Winfield. They had the following children: Hattie B., Henry J or James Henry, Forrest, Bessie, Sallie J., Leahley, and Wade. It seems that Allen on down through John Henry were born in Franklin County.

CLEMENT, COOK, TURNER -
I am looking for information on Samuel Shrewsbury Cook, son of Samuel Cook and Sarah (Sallie) Turner. Sarah was born in 1804 in Bedford County and married Samuel Cook from Franklin County. They had at least one child and Samuel Cook died in 1830. Sarah then married Dr. George Washington Clement and they lived in Franklin County. I have seen a report of an obituary in the Lynchburg paper that could have been this Samuel's indicating that several of his children had died and that he left only a daughter and widow. Any help would be appreciated.
