Maranda married Giles Otley HAMBRICK, and Jonathan married Mary Catherine Elizabeth SMITH. Does anybody recognize the above family? Sure could make my day.

CARTER, GRUBBS, HAIL, HATCHER, HUDGINS, JOHNSON, MILES, OXLEY, SAUNDERS, TURNER -
I am looking for the families of the 16 children of Isham Miles of Bedford and Franklin Counties VA. These children were found listed in a record in Pulaski Co., KY involving an estate settlement which listed the heirs of William MILES, all of his siblings from 2 different marriages born in Cumberland, Buckingham, Bedford and Franklin Co.'s in VA. His father, Isham Johnson MILES, b. before 1748, was not mentioned in the estate settlement. Children from the first marriage with Judith Hatcher: John deceased (b. before 1779), Elizabeth (Hudgins), and Judith (Hudgins -dec'd). The remaining children were half blood, mother Elizabeth Carter: Joseph, Henry, Edward, Jordon, Thomas J., Samuel A., Armistead J. (b. 1796), Polly wife of David JOHNSON, Rebecca wife of John OXLEY, Nancy wife of Dabney GRUBBS, Susan wife of Benjamine HAIL, and Sally (deceased wife of John Turner). Researcher Robert B. Waddle stated: Major portion of above at the time lived in Robertson Co. TN although the record is not clear - the heirs of Juda Hudgins at least did so. Geo. W. and Elizabeth Saunders, Albin, William, and Tilman Turner appear to have been residents of Wayne Co. KY. Benjamin Hail and wife Susan came to Pulaski Co. and then went to on to Andrew Co., MO above St. Joseph, MO Thanks in advance, Ernie

GRALEY, TERRY -
Looking for information on the family connections of the following two individuals: John Terry was born in Buckingham Co. in late 1700s. He married (date?) Nancy Graley, who was born in Franklin Co. They were in the census of 1850 and 1860, living in the Long Branch district (the southwest section of the county, south of Ferrum). Nancy was living in Monroe Co., West Virginia in 1870 (with her children, including my gr.grandmother Harriet Eliz. Terry, b. in Patrick Co.) as the head of household. I presume John had died (he was considerably older than she). 1. Was John the son of Rev. War pensioner Joseph Terry who lived in the same region (where Franklin,Henry, and Patrick Co.'s meet)? NEED MORE INFO ON BOTH INDIVIDUALS. 2.Who were Nancy Graley's parents? I have not encountered that name before in the local records. NEED INFO ON GRALEY FAMILY. ANY HELP OR CLUES WILL BE APPRECIATED. Yours, Charles Davis.

QUINTRILL, SAMPLE, WOODS -
I have traced the history of Joseph Woods 1833-1865 to Civil War Roster. All the Woods in my family so far have come from Franklin County, Virginia. Joseph was apparently born on the family farm there and I am convinced that after he died his widow Alzira Woods remarried. I believe the new husband was Thomas Quintrill. According to 1870 census he was head of household with Joseph and Alzira's children plus some. I would appreciate knowing more about that. I also request any knowledge of Joseph's parents George H. Woods and Abigail P. Sample who lived in Franklin County after they married February 16, 1824, or any other family members of Joseph's. Thank you,
