Seeking information on the desendents of John Richard Robertson (b. 3 Feb 1835 d. 20 March 1913) and Julia Amanda Dudley (b. 27 Jan 1842 d. 30 Jan 1924) m. October 21, 1858. Both are suppected of living in Franklin Co. or Beford Co. during their lives. They had 11 children (Frances, George, James, Peter, Lula Bell, John Henry, Mary Angeline "GGMother", Julia, Eugene, Laura, and Bob). Also Seeking Information on the parrents of Jessee S. Bradley (b. 11 Feb, 1826 d. 25 May, 1915) and Drusilla Heptingstallee ( 24 July, 1833 d. 27 Mar, 1888) m. 29 Jan, 1851. Also, from Franklin Co. or Bedford Co. They had ten children ( Silas, Thomas, Mary, Deck, John Henry "GGFather", Fannie, Phillip, Lienella, Anne, and Julia). Jessee was also married to a Carnora O. Turner born 1857 married in 1903 had no children. Her parents were Charles and Mary Turner. If anybody knows anything about John Richard Robertson, Julia Amanda Dudley, Jessee S. Searching for descendants, or anyone with knowledge of Bertha (Staley) Catron, who with her husband, Thomas, moved to Franklin County about 1920 from Wythe County, VA. I think I may have a photo of her and her husbands family, but I am not sure. Bertha was a daughter of E.P. and Isabelle (Snavely) Staley, of Rural Retreat, VA. I will share my info. Zachariah Tate married Permelia Nichols both of Bedford Co., Va. Family records indicate that at least one of their children was born in Franklin Co., Va. Information need on daughter, Mary Jane Tate- did she die young or marry and stay in VA? The rest of their family went to Callaway Co., MO in the 1830s: Jesse N.; Nathaniel N.; John G.; Henry M.; Malinda Susannah; Caleb W.; and Richard Calvin. Thank you

I am looking for any and all information on my ggrandparents Gale & Charity (Gibson) Guthrie of Boonesmill, VA (Franklin County). I know they had many children one of which was my grandfather named Jocephus (born 1901) who married my grandmother Sarah Ellen Hicks (born 1909) whose parents were Joseph T. I am searching for information on a John THOMAS in Franklin County. The only information I have is two Land Grants as follows: John P. Thomas and Seth Burton 15 September 1786, 803 acres on a branch of the Pigg River and Doe Creek, Franklin County. John Thomas, 20 September 1786, 40 acres on a branch of Glade Creek, Franklin County Grants 1, Page 635. Any information would be deeply appreciated.

I am attempting to find information on Thomas Prothero's ancestors. He was born Abt. 1760 possibly in Virginia. He married Hannah Miles October 17, 1787 in Botetourt Co VA. At least two of their children were born in Franklin Co Virginia: William b. December 15, 1789 and Samuel Prothero b. 1791. Also several of Hannah's siblings were born in Franklin Co, Va. Samuel b. October 26, 1773, James b. March 19, 1776, Evan b. September 20, 1778 and Benjamin Miles b. September 12, 1781. I appreciate any assistance. Sincerely,

I am looking for informtion on a Lydia Rentfro that married a James Turner and an Isaac Smith in Franklin Co. Va. Could this be the same James Turner in 1840 census of Wilson Co. Tn. there was a Liddie (Lydia) Turner who married a William Smith in 1828 in Wilson Co. Tn. William Smith was son of Isaac Smith and Sarah Gray. I think Isaac may have been in Franklin Co. Va before he purchased his first land in Wilson Tn. for Peter Looney (who was also from Va).

I am searching for Cornelius Sink b. 3/17/1851 of Franklin Co. and his wife, Virginia Moore, d. abt. 8/1916. Any additional info on these two would be appreciated.
