Robert Ferguson married Nancy Edmonds on Feb. 16, 1807
in Franklin Co., VA. I don't find them again until the 1820 census unless
they are one of the Robert Ferguson families in the 1810 Pittsylvania
Co., VA census. In the 1820 census of Franklin Co., VA, Nancy Ferguson
is head of the household w/ 1 male 0-10, 2 females 0-10 and 1 female 10-16.
Robert has died? On March 3, 1823 Nancy marries Samuel Manning,
a widower with children on his own. The combined familes are in the 1830
Franklin Co., VA census. I am seeking information on Robert Ferguson,
his parents, siblings and children.

MOLDEN, MOLEN, WHITE
-
I am seeking information on Jacob WHITE and wife, Mary (Molly
or Mariah) ALLEN. Jacob died about 1802 in Bedford Co. Mary remarried
John LA_FOY and moved to Franklin about 1805. I believe some of
the children of Jacob and Mary were: Byrd, Thomas, Jacob, John, Nancy (who
married James ALIFF in 1813) and James. I also believe Docia Ann
WHITE,
who married Aquilla (or Equilla) MOLDEN/ MOLEN in 1802 was
another child of Jacob and Mary. Need proof of this. There was also a connection
between this family and William ALLEN. How was William related to
Mary? I am willing to share information. Thanks in advance for any help
or suggestions. Carol

BETZ, BLANKENSHIP,
RAMSEY,
STEWART -
I am looking for some family history for my great-grandfather, John
Fleming BETZ, who was born in Franklin Co., VA in 1821. He was the
son of Abraham BETZ and Sarah/Sally ????. I was first told that
Sarah's maiden name was Stewart, but the only marriage record I
could find for an Abraham BETZ shows him marrying a Sarah RAMSEY
4 Mar 1816 in Franklin Co. Pleasant BLANKENSHIP posted the surety.
This sounds about right, since John F. was the 4th of 5 children. The names
I have for the other children were Nancy, Polly, Rhoda, and William. These
may or may not be correct. I found some of them listed in the 1850 census.
John F. BETZ married Julia Ann BLANKENSHIP (born abt. 1828)
20 Aug 1846 in Franklin Co. I would like to know more about Julia's family.
Are Julia Ann BLANKENSHIP and Pleasant BLANKENSHIP related
in any way? John F. and Julia moved to Callaway Co., MO in 1858. Julia
died there 2 Sep 1864.

MILLER -
I am searching for information on the Rev. Brice (Bryce) Miller,
who lived in Lancaster County, South Carolina in the 1790s but had family
connections and perhaps originated in Virginia. He transferred a Lancaster
County deed to James Miller of Franklin County, VA in 1799. I have
found individuals by that name in the 1810 census for Monroe and Frederick
Counties, VA and in the Greenbriar County tax lists for 1783- 86, but I
don't know if the Rev. Brice Miller is one of these. Any information
concerning his whereabouts before 1790 or after 1800 is greatly appreciated.

He was widowed and then remarried Sarah J.D. Crook on 9/2/1874.
