History
John Henry, father of Patrick Henry and
two of his daughters are
buried in this cemetery. Robert Carter Nicholas is also buried in
this cemetery. It is said by neighborhood tradition that the British
soldiers killed at Allen's Creek are also buried in this cemetery.
The Chancellor Wythe Chapter NSDAR of Richmond dedicated a
historical marker at the gravesite of John Henry on April 27, 1985.
