This stone is now located at Immanuel
Church, and is
believed by experts that this stone came from Wales, due
to its date, thickness, and elaborate engraving. Many year ago
the stone was moved to the Clifton Cemetery of the Haddon
Alexander family and then forgotten about. Recently, the stone
was found and was given to Immanuel Church, by Mrs. Miriam
Alexander and her family.

He was a native of Derby in the Island of Great Britain
But settled as a merchant near this place.
In all the virtues that can render a man
beloved and endearing to society he had no superior.
In the prime of life in the very moment of
anxious expectation of the arrival of a
beloved wife and infant family, it pleased the
Almighty to take him to Himself on the
__ of August 1785
His affected and disconsolate widow as a
lasting token of her affection has placed this monument
