LYNCH, MURRAY, MILLER, MILLS - I am trying to find some information on a Joseph Lynch who lived in King & Queen Cty and later moved to King William Cty. Joseph was born in 1878 and he married Nina Madison Murray in 1903. His father's name was George and his mother was Martha Alice Miller or Mills (b. 1853). BEW, NORMAN, SAUNDERS - James BEW born @ 1806, wifes name Mary born @ 1806. James died between 1850 and 1860, he was not on the 1860 census. Their children were Richard BEW (1831), Eliza Ann BEW (1832), Thomas C. BEW (1840), William BEW (1842), and my ancestor Mildred Sousin BEW (1844). Mildred Sousin BEW married William J. NORMAN born about 1831, they had four children one of which was Robert Lee NORMAN he was born in 1869 and died in 1914. Robert married Susan Alice SAUNDERS (1876-1937). Susan was the daughter of Thomas and Mary SAUNDERS of Middlesex County, VA. Thomas (1832) was the son of George SAUNDERS (1804) and Lucy JONES (1813)of Middlesex Co., m. 27 June 1831. I would really appreciate any help I can find on these families.

JACKSON - Seeking info on marriage of Jonathan Jackson and Mary ? in King and Queen County in August, 1779. Jonathan Jackson served in Va. Line in the Revolution, enlisting in King George County in 1776. In application for a widow's pension, Mary says marriage bans were posted in King and Queen County and they were married on August 1, 1779. Jonathan and Mary later lived in Shenandoah and Frederick Counties before migrating to East Tenn. in 1800. Looking for confirmation of marriage and Mary's maiden name. Any suggestions or leads appreciated.

WALKER, DeJARNATT - I'm searching for a Henry WALKER. His daughter ANN WALKER m. George DeJarnatt in 1783 in (supposively) Middlesex Co, but her tombstone reads: Ann W. DeJarnatt consort of George DeJarnatt Pittsylvania Co Va and daughter of Henry Walker of King and Queen Cty VA Born in th year 1764 and died in 7th of Oct 1837. Can anyone identify the Henry Walker, father of Ann Walker DeJarnatt (DeJarnette). She named her oldest son Henry Walker DeJ. Other children, which may give a clue, were Mildred Bootryn, Edna (George's mother),James, Nancy, Daniel, Susanna, Mary, Rebecca, Thomas G. (James is the name of George's father. The names Mildred Bootryn and Thomas G. give the best possible clues to the correct Walker family. Any help appreciated.

KELLY - Alexander Kelly born 1755 King and Queen County, Virginia; Served in (unknown) militia while young; raised family in North Carolina; at least two sons, one named Hiram (Hirum) Kelly; Looking for records of any kind to document Alexander; Looking for new cousins, descendents of Alexander. Now for the No No part....we never (almost never) guess at some things, but family naming schemes point to four most likely names for Alexander's father, Oscar, Hiram, Washington (or George) and Andrew )or Jackson)....presidential names (except Lincoln) were popular names for children. All four names show up every other generation. Am thankful for any help....anything....and will reciprocate.

MARTIN, LITTLEPAGE - I'm looking for the death dates and burial place of William Martin and His wife Harriet (Littlepage). They owned Martin's Inn, in King Queen during the Civil War. Their place was burned in 1864 during the war. They had a daughter Mary whom I can't locate either. William and Harriet both died between 1864-1870. CARLTON - Edmond CARLTON b ca 1773 m Sarah MOURNING 18 Jul 1795 in Caroline Co VA. In the K & Q Land Tax 1782 lists Phill CARLTON w/100 acres; in 1787 list his name is Philemon CARLTON. In Caroline Co 1788 Per Prop List, in Philemon's hh, age 16+, is Ambrose CARLTON; in 1789 the name Edmd CARLTON has been added. In both counties Philemon's land is "100 acres". Questions: Is this the same Philemon Carlton in both counties {maybe the county line changed?}.

COLEMAN, DARBY - I'm looking for information on the marriage of Daniel Coleman and someone whose last name was Darby. They would have married between 1685 and 1695. They had a son named Darby Coleman which is why I think Daniel married a Darby. Daniel was in New Kent Co. by 1688 and was approximately 25 years old. In 1691 when part of New Kent became King & Queen, Daniel stayed in King & Queen Co. and remained there until he died in 1722. JORDAN (JERDONE), CHURCH, STONE - Seeking ancestry/orgins of William Jordan Sr. (-1782) m.(b1755) ?Elizabeth? (-a1786) William Sr. and family appear to have settled in King & Queen Co VA in 1780. Children (all probably born in Gloucester Co VA): 1. Robert JORDAN Sr.(1755-1816) m.(1778) Elizabeth CHURCH. Robert Sr. and Elizabeth settled in Halifax Co VA and had at least 11 children: William, Mary (Polly), Robert Jr., Elizabeth, Martha, Richard, Samuel, Henry, Elam, John, and Elijah; 2. William JORDAN Jr. (c1757-a1794). William Jr. resided in King & Queen Co VA up until 1794; 3. Henry JORDAN Sr. (c1760-c1823) m.(c1790) Lydia STONE. Henry Sr., a tailor, was a Revolutionary War pensioner due to his service in the 2nd VA Regiment. Henry Sr. and Lydia had at least six children: James, William, Rachel, Sarah (Sally), Henry Jr., and Wesley. Henry Sr. died in Williamson Co TN; 4. Granville Jordan - no further information.

WILLIAMS - I am looking for information about the parents of Richard Williams (born Dec 4, 1842 died Dec 8, 1885) and his wife, Emma Cosby (born Feb 25, 1849 died July 18, 1935). They were married on Dec 17, 1867. Richard served in the Civil War and was a farmer in King & Queen County. One of Richard & Emma's children was Walter Evans Williams (born July 7, 1879). He is believed to be the son of JOHN PENN (c. 1680-1741) and ELIZABETH __?__ (Madison or Taylor?) who died in Caroline Co., VA in 1741. This family owned land in King & Queen County VA prior to 1727 which was cut out to become part of Caroline Co., VA in 1727.
