The Publications Committee of the JOURNAL of the
New River Historical Society has established the following guidelines
for article submission to the yearly publication of the JOURNAL;
1.) July 1 of each year is the deadline for submitted articles
but will be accepted earlier and encouraged.
2.) Any article previously printed in another publication
must be accompanied with the original publisher's permission.
The JOURNAL maintains ©copyright on said article.
3.) The JOURNAL will publish articles about a person,
place, or event dealing only with the New River Valley. This includes
the City of Radford and the counties of Floyd, Giles, Montgomery,
and Pulaski. A suitable picture of the subject matter, a short
bibliography or documentation, and a brief biographical sketch
of the author are desirable as well. Please include your name,
address, telephone number, and e-mail address if applicable with
your submission.
4.) The Society cannot pay for articles submitted and or
published. Pictures will be returned, but manuscripts will not
unless a self addressed stamped envelope is included with your
submitted article.
5.) Articles will be submitted on 8 1/2 x 11 paper, or articles can be submitted through e-mail. For more information contact
