Meridith Raines for a debt to B. G. Simpson of $2.50

The Commonwealth of Virginia, To the Sheriff of Pulaski county, greeting;

We command you to take M. alias Meridith Raines if he be found within your bailiwick, and living safely keep, so that you have him before the Justices of the County Court of Pulaski, at the Court House, on Thursday after the first Monday in October next, to answer accusor B. G. Simpson who sued for the benefit of Stephen ?? and of a plan of debt for $62.50, damages $2.50

And have then there this writ.

Witness William B. Charlton, Clerk of our siad Court, at the Court House, the 20th day of Setpember, 1839 in ? year of the Commonwealth.
