I, George Painter, certify that on the 20th day of February, A.D. 1855, at my own house, in the County of Pulaski, Virginia, I solemnized the rites of matrimony, according to the forms of the Presbyterian Church, between George W. Gibson, aged 32 years, divorced from a former wife, born in Guilford County, North Carolina, residence Wythe County, Virginia, son of Joseph Gibson and Amy, his wife, by occupation a day-laborer, and Elizabeth Harris, aged 25 years, single, born in Patrick County, Virginia, residence Wythe County, daughter of Benjamin Harris and Catharine, his wife.
