About Overwharton Parish Chapter
Overwharton Parish Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution was organized October 13, 1993. The name is taken from the original Colonial Parish that included Aquia Church , built in 1752, which is still an active church, and a smaller chapel , located in the Brooke area of the county, which no longer exists. The chapter was organized with 13 members and has grown now to 45 members enthusiastically promoting patriotism, education, and the preservation of history in the large and rapidly growing area of northern Stafford County.
