- All the information I have found on my great granfather John Roach is that his family
came from Orange co. Va.There was suppose to be some brothers of the Roach family that
serve in the RV war and were from Orange co. I have been trying to find out who they were.
I am hoping that others may be able to help. In the 1880 census for Jackson co. OH it
shows some family members there.It shows that John Roach parents were from Virginia. Can
someone help.

- Looking for the Donald family. Ernest Irvin Donald, Sr. was born between 1900-1903 in
Virginia, possible either Falmouth or Orange County. His family: father: Edward Walter
Donald; mother: Lucy Florence Racer; siblings: Charles b. 1896, Sadie b. 1900, Herbert b.
1903, Wade b. 1905, Molly 1909.

- WILLIS HERRON SR. was m. to ELIZABETH ROACH near orange courthouse Nov 16, 1806, Moved
to Monroe County and enlisted in the war of 1812 in 1813. On discharge was paid to travel
back to Monroe County but next appears in Augusta County Census of 1820. 1830,1840 and in
1850 was listed in the census of Randolph County. I have been trying to find his father
for lo these many years. Also need a clue to trace the Roach family.

lived in Orange Co,VA before moving to CC,NC John Bolling had land nearby, believe he may

- Seeking contact with anyone having information on the family of George W. Smith, b 19
January 1795 died 8 February 1885 buried in Maplewood Cem., Orange VA. He married Maria
Freeman d/o of George Freeman. Children of Geo. W. Smith were Philip Smith b 1826 married
Martha Parr and went to Mo after Civil War; William F. Smith, died unmarried; Adelaide
(1)Smith (2) Jennings lived in Baltimore at time of her death; Eliza born 1836 married
James Hansborough, lived near Stevensburg and is buried in Lail Cem., at Lignum; Ellen
Maria married Jemes F. H. Kennedy and is buried on ELmwood (Old Taylor Estate) in Orange
Co.;Mary Skidmaore married Wm. Dunn and is buried near her father in Maplewood Cem.,
Orange VA; Sarah married Thomas Parr; Charles Ashley Smith came to KY after war and
married Sarah Elizabeth Singleton. Charles Ashley is my ancestor and I am seeking
information on the parentage of George W. Smith and his wife, Maria Freeman who made their
home at Brandy Staion. I will exchange information with interested parties. Please e-mail.

and probated 5/28/1752. Any information about William's immediate family would be also

and recorded 2/22/1739. Also, he would like to know the will of James' brother. Any

in Virginia, April 20, 1876 - Died Va, Aug 1963 SS# 231-20-6243 I believe him to be the
son, possibly the second, of Baylor Jackson born in Orange County, Va , 1850. Any
information would be greatly appreciated.

- Robert Green, son of Robert Green and Eleanor Duff, was, according to a family story, a
member from Orange Co. of the House of Burgesses. In 1731, he was a Vestryman of St.
Mark's Parish. He married Eleanor Dun in 1736. Would like to confirm all the above
information, if possible.

- Searching for information on MENEFEE, DOLLINS, and PARTLOW..HENRY MENEFEE born Feb 02,
1754 in culpepper county and died in Rappahannock, co., Va in 1844. He married Sarah
Dollins a daughter of Richard Dollins. Their childrew were Elizabeth, Hannah, Mildred,
molly, francis, jonas, henry, John M., william, sarah, larkin, jarrett, richard. All born
between 1775 and 1796. I am related to John M. Menefee born in either Feb or Jan of 1786
and died 11 Oct 1873. He married Lucy Partlow on 27 Oct 1808 in culpeper co., Virginia.
