WRIGHT posted by Walker Smith on Thursday, February 20, 1997

I am interested in obtaining any information concerning my grandparents, the Clinton Herbert Wright (Sr) family that lived in the Orange area in the early part of the century. Clinton Wright's occupation was most likely a farmer. My grandmother was Ella Florence Wright (Nee Adams) and was, I believe, half Cherokee. The children were named Donald (B.1904), Andrew (B. 1906), Clinton (B. 1907), Carey (B. 1908), Jane (B. 1910), Pearl (B. 1912), Mable (B. 1913), Carroll (B. 1915), Lyle (B. 1916), Lois - my mother (B. 1917), Marguerite (B. 1919), Charles (B. 1920) and Horace (B. 1924). My grandmother was born in 1882 and my grandfather in 1883. All of the children were born in Virginia and my mother was definitely born at Orange Court House. The family moved to Doubs, Maryland in 1925 or '26. My grandfather reportedly came from lower Virginia, near the North Carolina state line. Any information provided would be deeply appreciated.
