KY and married CASSANDRA BOTTOMS. Am trying to connect BENJAMIN COYLE, born 1801 in VA.,as son of JAMES COYLE and brother of REUBEN COYLE. BROWN, Charles L.--my grandfather, Charles Valentine Brown, b 2-14-1871, Orange County, Va, married 1901 to Sarah Elizabeth Clark, b 9-4-66 in Orange County; his father, James W Brown, b 4-8-1843, Orange County, married 3-26-1866 to Mary Ellen Bowles, b 3-29-1844, buried in Rhodesville Cemetary; his father, James C. Brown married Sarah H. Cooper in Orange County 10-10-1841. I have information that the original Browns, William, Thomas, and John arrived in Orange County, 1740, 1741, and 1747, and were imported--possibly to a farmer at Black Walnut Ridge. Would like any assistance between 1740 and 1841.

I am looking for any information on any Gentry in Orange co. Va I know my great grandfather was born on August 16,1890 his mothers name is Bettie my g,grandfathers name was Curtis Alexander Gentry. Searching for information on the following two HORD families from Orange Co. (1) Jesse HORD son of Sarah HORD=Rhodin HORD(1740-1811)[first cousins} Jesse's wife unknown. Children: Ann=William BROWN; Eliza =Peter HORD, m. 1821; Melindy=Edward S. FAULCONER; Sarah=Phillip KENNON. (2) Daniel HORD, Sr. possible son of Killis HORD(1745-1815)=Mary HORD [first cousin]. Children: Ann =Richard KENNON; Marion=William C. MOORE, Jr;Polly=Hezekiah ATKINS; Daniel, Jr.=Elizabeth BURRUS. These families moved to Licking Co. OH. I am searching for the parents of Harrison HORD b. 1812=Amelia CONARD. They lived next to Peter and Eliza HORD in Licking Co. OH. WILLIAM ALLEN (1750[?], Virginia - 1838[?]) married 1773[?], Virginia, MARTHA MACADOO (before 1765 - circa 1820-26, Barren Co., Kentucky). WILLIAM ALLEN and his family apparently came to the Mercer Co., Kentucky area from the region of Orange and Culpepper Cos., Virginia. In the Mercer Co., Kentucky area; WILLIAM ALLEN owned a tract of land known as "Allen's Preemption". WILLIAM ALLEN later moved to Barren Co., Kentucky.

William Taliaferro sometimes spelled Toliver. Or Charles Taliaferro. Interested in this family as I am a descendent of them. I believe the dates of the Toliver's would have been around 1830-1850. Thank You
