NORMAN posted by Unknown on Friday, August 1, 1997

Thomas NORMAN was born about 1720 in Virginia, probably Spotsylvania (later Orange, later Culpeper) or Stafford County. He moved about 1770 to Surry County, North Carolina where he died in 1789. He had at least three sons: Thomas, Willam and Henry. Other Normans who appreared in early Surry County records were Eli and Ab. It is believed that they were relatives of Thomas also. The names Thomas, William, Henry, Isaac and Clement are prominent in the Surry County descendants of Thomas Norman. Any help on the Virginia origins of this family would be appreciated.
