definitely in January, and probably Jan. 23, 1910.

- I am searching for information on Elizabeth Blair, daughter of John Blair and Elizabeth
Smith who married in Orange Co., VA., abt. 1773. Their daughter, Elizabeth Blair,
married Benjamin Harrod on April 20, 1796. I am also searching for Benjamin Harrod's
parents. Benjamin and Elizabeth "Betsey" Blair Harrod left Orange Co.,
VA., and migrated to Henry Co., KY., around 1806. If anyone has any information on
the Harrods, Blairs, or Smiths of Orange Co., VA.,

County Census. J.W. born approx May 1883 and Amanda 1870.

- Seeking information on the ancestors of Henry Tandy and his wife Ann Mills. He
died in 1809 and she died in 1810, both in Orange County.

- David A. Taylor, a white man, born in Orange County, VA, December 16, 1791. Married Mary
Ann Bigby, (1802) . David Taylor, Sr. was a citizen and resident of Valleytown in the
Cherokee Nation before Removal of Cherokee west in 1838. His sons Campbell Harrison and
James were officers in Col. Thomas' Confederrate Legion 1861-1865, both Captains of Indian
Companies. Mary Ann Bigby was 1/2 Cherokee. On the tombstone of David A. Taylor, it says
"Congress by Special Act,1852, paid David A. Taylor, Sr. $24,853.04 for land he lost
under the phoney and gyp treaty of New Echota, Dec.29, 1835. David Taylor, Sr.
staying in Washington City 12 years to collect his money.'David A. Taylor was my
great/great grandfather. I would appreciate any information you might have about him.

- Looking for information on a SMITH family that came to America in early 1730's. The
fathers name may be PHILIP SMITH. The oldest son was born in 1731 and his name was GEORGE
SMITH. Later records show up in AUGUSTA County after it formed, but Philip died soon after
that date. George later married a Rebecca Bowen. Anyone with any clues would be helpful.

- First record of Joshua is in Charles County Maryland 5/23/1720, as a witness to the will
of Douglas Gifforde (source Maryland Calendar of Wills). Next record 4/11/1740,
Joshua of St. Mark's Parish Orange County and wife Sara and son Lewis renting land on the
Rappahannock river from William Duff of Hannover Parish, King George County. (source
Orange County, Virginia Deed Book.) Looking for information on Joshua Render and or his
ancestors, when and where he was born and or died. Looking for any information on any
Render name prior to 1750, any location.

- Looking for ELISHA FREEMAN b @ 1737 who is supposed to have lived in Orange Co VA before
going to Hardin Co KY. He took a will of Richard BARBOUR, of Orange Co Va dated 1794
and filed it and his own will on the same day out in Hardin Co KY. The reason was because
Barbour made a land bequest to Elisha therein. Barbour's will states Elisha is the son of
Thomas Freeman. In the book "Freeman Forebears" by Garland E. Hopkins, Elisha
Freeman m. to Elizabeth (?) who lived in Orange Co VA was the son of Ann Robins and Robert
Freeman. Wish to decide which man was Elisha's father.

- HARRISON, Jabez - b. 28 Jun 1800 Orange Co., VA; m. 8 Feb 1820 to Elizabeth TAYLOR (b. 8
May 1800 Orange Co., VA) in Orange Co., VA. Jabez died 9 Oct 1845 Fayette Co., IN.
Jabez and Elizabeth Taylor HARRISON were my 3rd great grandparents. I am trying to
verify info on Jabez' parents. I have a copy of his obituary in the Indiana
Telegraph, dated 9 Oct 1845, which indicates that he was the son of Peyton Randolph and
Elizabeth Barclay HARRISON. In my research, I have found several sources on Peyton
Randolph HARRISON which they all say that his line is untraced. Any help would be
appreciated.

- Charles PEARSEY is first found on an 1763 road order in Orange, purchased land there in
1771. He died in 1792, aged ca.57. His wife was named Martha. They
had three known children: Elizabeth B., Franky and Charles PEARSEY. Charles
Pearsey Jr., born ca.1770, married (1) to Sarah and (2) in 1798 to Elizabeth LOWER,
daughter of Michael & Margaret (LARK) LOWER. Charles had several
daughters. He also had two sons, one by each wife: James PEARSEY, born ca.1786
Orange County, a tailor who moved to Tennessee and William J. PEARSEY, born. 1802 possibly
in Rockbridge Co. VA., moved to Rush Co. IN. In 1799 Charles PEARSEY sold out
and moved to Rockbridge Co., then Ohio, then Wayne Co. IN. Am researching possiblity that
John PEIRSEY, indentured servant of Col. Alexander Spotswood in Spotsylvania Co. in
1726 is the father of the elder Charles. All replies answered.

- Seeking information on descendants of ADAM HANCE and wife CATHERINE HANCE. ADAM
HANCE's will was probated in Orange Co., VA in 1747, naming one child Susanna Tolse(?),
and wife Catherine. Could there have been more children, perhaps a son named
ADAM? Is there a connection between the ADAM HANCE of Orange County in 1747 and ADAM
HANCE of Montgomery Co., VA who was a resident of (Botetourt- Fincastle) Montgomery
County area by 1769/70. Very interested in information on a CHRISTIANNA HANCE
born ca 1755.

- I am seeking information about the ancestors of Robert C. CHRISTIAN born 1806 in
Virginia. He married Nancy LEWIS April 14, 1829, in Orange County, VA. Who were his
parents? Who were her parents? Is anyone else working on these lines?
Robert and Nancy moved to Mississippi sometime between 1833 and 1840. I would be very
interested in hearing from anyone with information on this family. Thank you for

- Searching for information concerning HUGH HARRELL who died in 1743 in Frederick County
(formerly Ornage County). Court records of Frederick list his Inventory of Personal Goods
and state that he had several cattle and hogs and had built a small improvement (cabin).
HUGH HARRELL (There are several spelling variations; HERRALL, HERROLD, HERRILL ETC.) He
left two infant children: HUGH and JANE HARRELL. Custody of children was awarded to
WILLIAM DAVIS. Thank you.

for information on Bolling Bell who is listed on the 1820 Orange County census. I
believe Bolling was born in Appomatox county sometime around 1800 but don't have

- Moses & Ruth JOSEPH are on record in Orange Co., VA from abt 1774. He lived adjacent
to "Mine Run" and was neighbors with Abe, Reuben and Jacob LAREW. Other
neighbors include; Thomas CLARK, Isaac JOHNSON, and BRANCH (1780). Moses JOSEPH and family
moved by 1790's to Rockingham Co., VA. Record of marriage between a Jonathan JOSEPH &
Saray DEERING 11 March 1786. Would like additional info on the JOSEPH family of Orange
Co., VA.

- I am seeking information on the ancestors of BENJAMIN STEPHENS of Orange County,
VA. Benjamin was born on April 15, 1754, married Dorothy Jemima Waller on Easter
Monday, 1775, came to Kentucky in 1805 and died in Kenton County, KY, September 7,
1839. I believe his mother was a BLESSING STEPHENS, father unknown. I would
