CUDDEN, OSBORN posted by Lynn Osborn Simons on Sunday, June 7, 1998

I would also like to make this query: Robert OSBORN married Mildred CUDDEN in 1776 in Orange County. He lived in SW Orange County the rest of his life. Where did he come from? An early deed, a land sale from his father-in-law says he is "of Augusta." There are no records of him in August County. A British mercantile claim mentions a Robert OSBORN who owed money while in Albemarle County. I would appreciate any help on this family.

DAVIS, JAMES, THOMPSON posted by Leslie on Tuesday, June 9, 1998

Looking for information on JAMES SPENCER JAMES.  Married FRANCES DAVIS in Orange Co. 8/1780.  They had at least one child:  Catlett James-b.1786, who married Elizabeth Thompson. James and Frances may have also had the following children: Catherine, Emeline, Braxton, James D., Mildred, Frances, Elizabeth and Phoebe. I have information that Catlett James and Elizabeth had these children: Bryant, Catherine, Phoebe, Mildred B., Frances, Elizabeth, Mary and Waddy T. Sounds like either Catlett and Elizabeth named some of  their children same as some of his siblings, or I have some incorrect information.  I have birth years on these children of Catlett and Elizabeth. Is anyone else searching this line that could help me out with information on either of these related families? Thanks        Leslie
