PERRY, TAYLOR posted by Vicki Ewing Calman on Friday, July 10, 1998

I am trying to find the names of either the brothers of President Zachary Taylor (sons of Lt.Col. Richard Taylor of Orange County, VA) or the origins of my ggg grandmother Sarah Taylor who was born in 1836.  Because persistent rumors still exist that we are related to President Taylor through her I am assuming that she is the niece of the President through one of his brothers.  This may be especially true since she was born one year after the tragic death of his own daughter Sarah, and may have been her namesake.  My grandmother later married Malechiah Perry, and may have moved to North Carolina.
