Searching for parents of Andrew Bird Jones (b.1768 Augusta Co) thought to have been John Jones and Betty Bird. A John and a Levi Jones were in Orange Co prior to the Rev. Does anyone have data on them? Andrew's family to Rockingham, and Andrew on to Bourbon Co. Ky by 1792. Bettyi Bird daughter of Andrew Bird and Magdalen Jones. Andrew and Magdalen from Pa to Va ca. 1730, where Andrew died 1750. Any clue helpful.

TUEL / TUELL, Josephine married my greatgrandfather, William Stitcher.  They lived in Orange County.  Their son Ray Vernon Stitcher, b 15 Mar 1893 d. 20 Jun 1948 was my grandfather. Ray married Mary K. Harris, b 23 Jan 1898 d. 3 Sep 1980.  Ray is buried in the Graham Cemetery on Route 20 in Orange, and Mary K. is buried with her second husband, Burroughs C. Holmes in Mt. Holly Baptist Church Cemetery.  Any help with Josephine or William is greatly appreciated.

SANNER, Charles Henry of Madison Run, Orange County, VA married Mandy ________.  One of their children, James Randolph, is my grandfather, who married Widow Lena Moore Stokes, with whom he had two daughters in Louisa County.  I can get no information from tombstones, as it appears that Sanner Ancestral Plot is on a hill in the middle of what is being developed as the Orange Industrial Park.  Tombstones do not remain. Other relatives are buried there besides my greatgrandparents and grandfather, but I haven't been able to identify them.  Any information on James'  mom and dad as well as James, is very much appreciated

HALL, Jane E., my great, great, grandmother b. 16 MAY 1844 d. 12 Feb 1929 is buried in Maplewood Cemetery in Gordonsville, VA.  She is the mother of Kate L. Hall HARRIS, the mother of Mary K. Harris STITCHER HOLMES.  The only information I have on Jane is the above, which I took from her tombstone this fall.  If you have any information on this HALL, it would be most helpful.  Thank you.

Aventon and Rachel Felps, appear to have temporarily located in Orange County Virginia, during their move towards North Carolina as shown in this deed. Aug. 5, 1741 Aventon & Rachel Felps, Yeoman, of Orange County Virginia to Henry Thomas, planter, of Baltimore County Maryland, L10 paid by Isaac Webster, 50 acres...west side of Deer creek, known as "Rachel's Delight." Signed Aventon Felps. Wit: Isaac Webster and Richard Ruff. Is there more info on Aventon and Rachel Felps that pertains to Orange County?

Michael Pearson/Pierson who would have lived in Orange county, near a place called Wolf Pen.  His wife's name was Ann ????.  They married abt. 1720 and had 5 or 6 sons.  One named Charles b.1726 who married Sally Weathers and lived in Orange and Culpepper counties.

Need any deed, will, estate, tax, census, cemetery or church record. Wondering if they are biried there & names of children. I have just found out a brick wall of mine, my gggrandfather, Jerry O. Wood (known as J.O. Wood) was from Orange County, VA.  His first wife was Lori Elizabeth Hughes.  Actually that is the new information, we didn't have her name before.  I have no dates on Lori but J.O. was born on March 3, 1849 in VA and died on December 27, 1920.  I know they had four children:  Fannie A. (born June 1875), John (born July 4 but not sure of the year), Maggie, and Robert Ezekiel.  Fannie was my great great grandmother and she married Jesse B. Parks.  J.O. did marry a second time before moving to KY to a woman named Hannah.  The only other thing I know about this family is that Maggie married a man with the name Mayheir.  My great grandmother said she used to visit her Wood grandparents in Orange County, VA and would travel from KY on a raft.  Any information at all would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for all references to CHISM/CHISOLM/CHISHAM in Orange County Virginia, especially James Chisham who was born 25 January 1768, was in the Revolution, married Catharine Ranes in 1789 in Orange City.  James died in September 1838 perhaps in Scott City, Kentucky. Also George Chism/Chisham lived in Orange City, VA, was in the Revolution, and married Mary ___. He died 13 December 1830 perhaps in Scott City, Kentucky.
